There are many people living off of fixed incomes, such as Social Security Disability, who may not have resources to rely on with skyrocketing gas prices and fuel oil. Groceries, healthcare costs, mortgage payments, finding employment and adequate housing can be a frustrating when searching for answers. The Disability Linkage Line of Minnesota will help locate disability services and information for persons with special needs with a simple phone call. This could include individuals/family members or service providers for persons with Traumatic Brain Injury, Mental Health issues, physical disabilities, mobility impairments, learning disabilities, chronic illness, etc. Throughout the 4 Call Centers in Minnesota (Rochester, Bemidji, St. Paul and Brainerd) specialists will listen to your needs and research for answers to your questions. "We may not have all of the answers, but we know how and where to find them," states Keith Benedett, Specialist at the Central office in Brainerd. "We will do research to make the information gathering process as seamless as possible. The last thing we want is to give callers referrals and then find out that they heard "no" at each of those referrals," comments Sharon Notch, Coordinator, Central office.
