Delbert Holm died at his Kimball home Sunday, April 20, 2008. He was 87. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the Kimball Church of Christ with Pastor Vern Harris officiating. Interment will be in Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Delbert Russell Holm was born March 22, 1921, in Wright County to Amhurst and Della Holm. He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1940. He married Bernice Erickson Aug. 3, 1943; she preceded him in death April 27, 1977. He married Rheba Brown Hewitt June 9. 1978. Delbert lived in the Montrose and South Haven areas until moving to Kimball in 1978. He was a milk hauler for more than 20 years, and then was a machinist working for Advanced Manufacturing, Tel Elect, and Schwartz Manufacturing. IIn his retirement years he drove school bus for Hendricks Bus Service. He enjoyed going to the woods and cutting firewood, repairing John Deere lawnmowers, and bowling. Delbert was preceded in death by his first wife Bernice, son Donald, sister Viola Block, brother Kenneth, and an infant brother. He is survived by his wife Rheba of Kimball; children Barb (and Dave) Winter of Montrose, Dennis Holm of Milaca, Bev Peterson of Monticello, Becky Rogers of Red Wing, Dan (and Jane) Holm of Glencoe, Dean (and Sue) Holm of Hot Springs, Ark., stepdaughters Mary (and Garrett) Anfinson of Willmar, Pam (and Todd) Fischer of Kimball; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
