Re: City brush and compost pickup The city Public Works Department will pick up brush and compost every Tuesday morning beginning at 6:30 a.m. April 1, 2008. Please follow these simple rules: Bundle and tie brush not to exceed 4-feet in length. Compost should be bagged or placed in containers approved by Public Works and not exceed 50 pounds. Brush and compost should be placed near the curb the night prior to pick-up. Pick-ups will only be made at scheduled times unless prior approval has been received from the Public Works Department. If you are going to drop off brush or compost yourself, you will need to call Public Works for approval at (320) 398-8991. Large quantities of brush and compost will be picked up at the cost of $45 per load.
FROM APRIL 15 ONWARD: ONLY CORN-BASED, SELF-COMPOSTING BAGS WILL BE PICKED UP. These bags are available at Gohmann's Foods in Kimball. Kimball Public Works Department Published in the Tri-County News Thursday, April 24, 2008.
