Lets hear it for another successful Snow Days week at KAHS! Students elected two candidates from their organization to represent them during the week.

Representatives were:

Choir- Caleb Anderson and Mckenzie Berres

Prom Committee- Tim Konz and Tiffany Kuechle

Speech- Camen Miles and Tess Vossen

Knowledge Bowl- Ben Serbus and Erin Diffley

National Honor Society- Jake Cleveland and Megan Jones

FFA- Cody Mackereth and Katelyn Asfeld

Band- Austin Roerick and Erin Dingmann

BLT- Alex Harter and Tara Matthiesen

Art- Jesse Hedlund and Liz Kastanek.

Candidates competed in various events throughout the week to fight for the crown. First, on Tuesday, they made a creative poster that represented their organization. On Wednesday they sang a self-selected song during the senior high lunch hour. Thursday the candidates dressed up in a variety of costumes; camouflage, hippies, and even Twilight themed. They were judged and given ranks by a teacher-filled panel of judges.

Also at this time, NHS held a food drive in which candidates could bring in food and receive points for the pounds they brought in.

Friday, Feb. 10, was coronation. Everybody looked stunning and all were anxiously awaiting to see who the winner was. It was definitely a nail biter! But in the end, Prom Committee was crowned Snow Days 2012 King and Queen. Congrats Tim and Tiff! Great work to everyone who participated, and a big thank you to all those who helped!
