FFA Alumni Conference to be held in Vadnais Heights



Join FFA in celebration of National FFA Week by attending the Minnesota FFA Alumni Conference Saturday, Feb. 18, at AFSA High School in Vadnais Heights. The conference is hosted by Region 4, AFSA High School and the Metro Area FFA Alumni & Friends affiliate.

The conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude by 2 p.m. Workshop sessions include: panel discussion on membership recruitment, exchange of ideas, advocating for your program, starting a farm to school program and more.

Student FFA members are invited to attend and participate in the "Just for Students" session track. The student sessions will be hosted by current Minnesota FFA Association state officers and include ideas for advocating for your chapter, engaging members, social media tips and more.

During the awards luncheon, the following will be recognized: Minnesota FFA Alumni Award winners, 2012 Minnesota FFA Hall of Fame Inductees and new FFA alumni affiliates who chartered in 2011. The day will conclude with keynote speaker, Rod Hamilton, chair of the Minnesota House Agriculture and Rural Development Policy and Finance Committee who will address the connection of the value of agriculture and education.
