Kimball Area Dollars for Scholars is a non-profit organization in rural Minnesota that for the last 16 years has provided scholarships for graduating seniors at Kimball Area High School. Through our fundraising efforts, as well as through scholarship donations from businesses, organizations, and private sectors, we have been able to help numerous local graduates further their education and move on to successful careers.
With the cost of education skyrocketing, Kimball Area Dollars for Scholars is always seeking ways to increase the amount of financial assistance we can give our students. As we continue our annual fundraising efforts ("Cabin Fever" Wine Tasting Event at Millner's Winery on Sunday, Feb. 26, and the "Gala" on Saturday, April 28), we are also offering an invitation to any of you to establish your own yearly scholarship named for you, a family member, or for your business in a dollar amount of your choice. If donated this year, your scholarship will be awarded to a student at the annual Dollars for Scholars "Gala" on the evening of April 28. If it is not feasible for you to establish a scholarship at this time, please keep Kimball Area Dollars for Scholars in mind for future years.
As an organization, know that we truly appreciate any and all of the support and assistance the Kimball Community has given us through the years. It is our hope that you will continue to support us in our efforts to assist the graduates of Kimball Area High School.
Kimball Area Dollars for Scholars is always in need of new members. Please join us! Our next monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Kimball Area High School.
If you are interested in establishing a scholarship or have any questions in regard to Dollars for Scholars, please contact Alice Robinson (398-5902) or Maureen Dingmann (398-2539).
