This past Sunday, May 1, was the Kimball Kruisers monthly meeting. The meeting started with roll call, with each member naming one thing they were looking forward to this summer. Most of the answers were vacations, sports, swimming, birthdays, and the State Fair. Last Friday, April 29, the Kimball Kruisers passed out trees at the elementary school for Arbor Day.
All 4-H-ers are reminded that entry forms for the County Fair are due July 1. Also, Cora Gohmann
would like pictures for the club scrapbook. If you have any photos of the club, please give them to Cora. A new date was set for ditch cleaning. The new date is May 15, at 5 p.m. The Kimball Kruisers clean two miles of the ditch near the Kimball Golf Course. Thank you to Jake Borman, Cailyn Kuechle, and Ellie Kuechle for showing us their fair projects. Jake is in the process of making an arbor, Cailyn made a shadow box, and Ellie made a picture of a grasshopper. Sunday, June 26, will be the last meeting of the year and it will be a potluck dinner. There will be a baseball/softball
game concluding the dinner at the elementary school. Thank you to Dennis Beck for coming and talking to us about chickens. He shared with us about how to take care of them, when chicks hatch, and how they hatch. Thank you to Cody Schlangen for coming and talking to us about roosters. He shared about his hobby, how he got into showing, and how to show a rooster for the state fair. Hope everyone has a great summer!
