Janssen Family Benefit (Sun. 20 Jul, 2014 9:00 am - 12:00 pm)

 

Bob Janssen was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in July 2013. MS involves an abnormal response of the body’s immune system that attacks the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. Treatment is complicated due to his diabetes. Because of this he has been unable to return to work or secure benefits to help care for his family.

Bob & Tanya and their children Jacob & Katelyn are active members of the Church of Our Lady Parish – Tanya is a Sunday School Teacher, CCW Circle Chair person and helps with Vacation Bible School.

Church of Our Lady, Our Lady of Grace Catholic United Financial Council and Catholic United Financial have come together to have a Matching Grant Breakfast to help with the continued medical bills and financial challenges of the family.

Eden Valley Area Library's Summer Reading Program (Wed. 23 Jul, 2014 9:30 am - 10:30 am)

 

Gavin Hill is a diverse, inspiring and captivating speaker/writer/author. He motivates all ages with his life story of survival, anti-bullying issues, his novels plus children’s musical presentations.  He will be presenting his children’s story-musical, William Gray and the Family Next Door at the Eden Valley Area Library's Summer Reading Program, Wednesday, July 23 at 9:30 a.m.  His production is an educational tool teaching there is no room for bullying in this world!

On Saturday July 26 at 10 a.m. the Eden Valley Library will hold a meet and greet with British author Gavin Hill. Gavin along with Rosie Hartwig will hold a  motivational speaking engagement on discovering a positive approach to life's struggles combined with artistic style on the wings of photo and verse. Their book, Reflections Upon the Waters of Life, allows you to pause and reflect on the wonders of the world ... peacefully sliding away from reality.
