The Annandale Friends of the Library 2013 Author Dinner will feature David Housewright. The dinner will take place at Reichel’s Catering and Event Center in Annandale Friday, May 17. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m., and program at 7 p.m. Ticket price is $25, available at the Annandale Public Library. (No tickets available at the door.) Proceeds go to the Annandale Friends of the Library to support library services.
Housewright was awarded the 1996 Edgar Award for Best First Novel from the Mystery Writers of America for “Penance,” set in the Twin Cities. His novels have since won other awards including the Minnesota Book Award. In addition, his short stories have appeared in publications as diverse as Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and True Romance. He is a former newspaper reporter and has taught writing courses for the University of Minnesota and the Loft Literary Center.
