Learn basket weaving at Annandale Library

Adults and teens 15 and older can learn the basics of simple basket weaving using newspaper in a program at the Annandale Public Library. The two-part program will take place on Saturdays, Aug. 3 and 10, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Local artist Amy Payne will instruct participants. She has created baskets using a variety of materials. In this two-part workshop, she will teach participants how to prepare newspaper materials and the weaving techniques to make a basket of their own. The attendance limit is 15 and preregistration is required.

This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Art and Cultural Heritage Fund.
