Kimball Public Library offering programs July 21, 23, 25, 26

Mummies, Mysteries and More – July 21

Children in grades 2 to 5 are invited to “Mummies, Mysteries and More,” a program at the Kimball Public Library 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, July 21. Join instructors from Science Explorers to learn about mummification and dig for artifacts. Be prepared to dig in and explore the past through archaeology. The attendance limit is 20 and registration is required. This program is sponsored by the Kimball Friends of the Library.

 

Sunshine Storytime – July 23

Children ages 3 to 8 are invited to Sunshine Storytime at the Kimball Public Library 10:30 to
11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, Join storytime to experience stories, songs and a fun craft. The attendance limit is 24 and registration is required. This event is sponsored by the Kimball Friends of the Library.

Children’s Yoga and Book Reading – July 25

Children ages 6 to 10 are invited to the Kimball Public Library for a program of Children’s Yoga & Book Reading 3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday,
July 25. Author Shayann Hoffer will talk about the newly released story of “Neela Meets Lotus” and children will learn about animal and nature inspired yoga poses. This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Dazzling Dave – July 26

Dazzling Dave, Yo-Yo Master, will perform on the grass outside the South Haven Methodist Church at 12 noon Saturday,
July 26. His performance will entertain families and children of all ages. Dazzling Dave is a professional yo-yo performer who has been performing since 1998. His awards include Midwest Regional Champion and Masters World Champion. His appearance is sponsored by the Kimball Public Library and it is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. The Zion United Methodist Church is just off Hwy 55 on the East side of South Haven.

Great River Regional Library (GRRL) provides library services at 32 public libraries in Benton, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd and Wright Counties. It provides Central Minnesota residents with nearly 1 million books, CDs and DVDs, 250 public computers, programming and information services.

Kimball Library open hours are Monday 10-1, and 2-7, Wednesday 10-1, and 3-6, Friday 3-6, and Saturday 9-12.
