The Ostmark Lutheran Churchmen Homemcade Ice Cream Social will be held from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the church at 32721 680th Avenue in Watkins.
They will be serving pie and homemade ice cream, hotdogs, BBQs, lemonade, milk and coffee. Everyone is welcome.

Fifteen bands, two stages, a fiddle workshop, musicians’ jam tent, children’s activities, food and beverages, specialty vendors, free parking, and more will come together for RiverSong Music Festival, Friday and Saturday, July 19-20, at Masonic West River Park in Hutchinson, Minn.
Celebrating its fifth year, the two-day all-volunteer-run outdoor festival features the best in regional Americana music with a focus on original songwriting in the genres of blues, folk, indie rock, bluegrass, country, jazz and more.

St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Forest City is organizing a pedal pilgrimage to the Grasshopper Chapel in Cold Spring. The trip combines spiritual and physical exercise. Bikers gather at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, for prayer at St. Gertrude’s with additional prayer stops along the way. The pilgrimage concludes with Mass at the Grasshopper Chapel in Cold Spring.
A Chicago teen finds himself transplanted to a small-town in the middle of nowhere, a town where, much to his horror, it is actually illegal to dance. He and other teens plan to defy the local law and find a place to dance in the next town. They must fight the law, and the local preacher who created it, to finally let kids in town be “Footloose.”
