Eden Valley Red Cross Blood Drive May 15

The American Red Cross wants us to mark our calendar for Wednesday, May 15, when they will be visiting Eden Valley from 1-7 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Every donor is important and needed, but this will be a difficult time to get people to commit being that our spring is slow at coming this year. Please help the American Red Cross reach their goal by making an appointment and informing other friends and family about the importance of donating.

Lyme Disease: You’re not alone

Contrary to popular belief, Lyme disease is not always cured simply by a quick, one-time treatment, but can take months or even years to get rid of. Some have found that they never get rid of all the damage that this bacteria has caused to their body. On May 6, at 6 p.m. in the Watab Room (#122) at the Sartell-St. Stephen School District Office, we will be viewing the dramatic documentary, “Under Our Skin,” that focuses on the epidemic of chronic Lyme disease.

This class will be led by a husband and wife, both of whom have been diagnosed and struggled with this complex disease. They invite everyone to come to support, learn, and share with each other the struggles that come with this disease and its effect on the body. And before you head outdoors this summer, make sure you are on the lookout for the tiny tick that can cause you lots of misery.

The class is free to everyone. Registration prior to the class is required through the Sartell-
St. Stephen Community Education Office, (320) 253-4036.
