The Kimball United Methodist Church invites all area young people (preschool through grade six) to the 2014 Vacation Bible School to be held June 9-12. Beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, there will be a light supper for families followed by music, Bible lessons, crafts, fun play and group activities. We will conclude at 8:30 p.m. with our themed group activity entitled “We are Disciples.”
Thursday night there will be a family potluck supper followed by a “show and tell” program.
Friday, our Bible School will have a special activity to celebrate our time as disciples. We will also be asking for clothes or personal items that can be used for our Many Gifts church mission project. There will be a cart to drop off items each night.

You can do just that at the 24th Annual Fun, Food and Fund Day, sponsored by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. The event, hosted by the Little Falls Deanery, will be held June 12, at St. Michael’s Church, 9251 Hwy 25, Buckman, Minn. The theme is “The Many Hats Women Wear,” so plan to don your favorite fedora. The event begins with registration from 8-8:30 a.m., Mass at 9:30; also includes refreshments, silent auction, games, entertainment, lunch and door prizes.

Pastor Steve Rowland has resigned as Pastor of Family and Youth Ministries at the Kimball Church of Christ. He has accepted a position with a church in Des Moines, Iowa, and will be ending his service in Kimball Sunday, June 1, 2014. The Rowlands have been active in the Kimball community for the past 9 and 1/2 years.

The Halo Fun Run 5K and Lil’ Angels 1K run will take place Saturday, June 21. St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball will be hosting Vacation Bible School from 9-11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, June 23-26.
Children ages preschool – sixth grade are invited to participate in this free event. The theme is “Weird Animals – Where Jesus’ Love is One-of-a Kind.” The participants will rotate between the following stations each day: One-of-a-Kind Bible Adventures, Sing & Play Stampede, KidVid Cinema, Imagination Station, Wild Crafts, Untamed Games, Critter Café, and The Tail End.
