EV-W’s Cain Renner, Luke Kuechle state-bound

“Well the season is over for almost everyone. Cain Renner and Luke Kuechle will be competing at the state tournament this week. They were both returning state entrants, so it was expected that they would get back down there and they passed the test. This is Cain’s third time at state, placing sixth as a sophomore, so it would be nice to see him get back on the podium to finish out his senior year. Luke will have to battle to get onto the podium, and I think if he wrestles like he can, he has a shot,” coach Dan Berg said. The Eagles finished the season on a high note, placing 8 out of 10 wrestlers. “We had a couple people that I thought could have done better, and also some that made a statement at the end.  I’m going to miss this senior class, with all the hard work and dedication they put in, not only to be better wrestlers, but to be more well-rounded people. Thank you seniors, it’s been a great ride!” said coach Berg.
