Art and author event exhibitors information

The Eden Valley Area Friends of the Library is pleased to present its first Art Show. This event will be held from 12 noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the Event Center. Demonstrations and showings will continue until 2 p.m., when author, Dean Urdahl, will present his latest book “Conspiracy” – the story of events leading up to the assassination of President Lincoln. Demonstrations and showings will then continue followed by refreshments.

• Let us know if you will need a table for your demonstration or art exhibit.

• The entry fee is $10 ONLY if you are selling your art (give to Marilyn when you come on Sunday)

• Art work that goes up on our walls can be brought to the library the week of Nov. 11, – the librarians will put them up – make sure you sign the form stating that you want your art to be displayed through Jan. 1, (otherwise you should take it home after 4 p.m. on Sunday) and that the Library is not liable for it while displayed (Many Christmas parties and events are scheduled for December.) Be sure to complete the form stating your name and phone number and if you are selling – a price for your art.

• You may want to bring your demonstration items or art work (pottery, etc) in earlier – Marilyn will be in the Event Center from 1-3 p.m. Friday Nov. 15, and from
9-12 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.

• A light lunch will begin at noon, with proceeds going to the Library. Refreshments will be served following the author’s visit.

Nov. 17: Art and author event at EV Area Library

Nov. 2: Digital Photography Class at Annandale Library

Adults and teens 12 and older may register for a Basic Digital Photography class at the Annandale Public Library  9:30-
11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, The class will be presented by professional nature photographer John Pennoyer, whose images have been published in many national and regional publications. The attendance limit is 24. This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

EV Area Library seeks a few more Friends

Trick or Treat Storytime at Annandale Library

Children ages 3-12 are invited to the Annandale Public Library for a Trick or Treat Storytime from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22. Children will enjoy fun, spooky stories, songs and a Halloween treat. The attendance limit is 24 and preregistration is required. Contact:  (320) 274-8448.
