Junior Cubs Skills Demonstration Night

Grades 2 through 5

Friday, Feb. 14, the Junior Cubs’ second-, third-, fourth- and fifth- grade players performed at halftime of the varsity boys’ basketball game against Holdingford. The players just completed a six-week Saturday-morning program learning various basketball fundamentals. Members of the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams helped coach Kuechle and coach Klein teach the players during the program.

KES students’ fun with inflatables

Friday, Feb. 14, although it was Valentine’s Day, KES school was in session. A celebration of a sort was in progress with inflatables in the school gym. The inflatables were a Inflatables-RGBreward from Chip Shoppe for raising almost $8,000 for our school. School lunches for those who can’t pay

It made national headlines two weeks ago because it happened in a Utah school. But it made local headlines eleven years ago because it was happening here too.

Students went through the lunch line but, if there wasn’t enough money in their lunch account, their trays were taken away from them and emptied into the garbage. In front of them and their schoolmates. It was a lose-lose situation all the way around: students were humiliated, food was wasted, and the school still lost money.

KES Kindergarten Roundup March 13

Thursday, March 13, has been selected as the day for Kimball’s Kindergarten Roundup for the school year 2014-2015. The plan is to meet in the Kimball Elementary School gym at 5:30 p.m.

This is for children who will be age 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2014.
