Wow! what a great turn out of kids who want to come out and be a part of Kimball's wrestling program this year! There were more than 50 kids who came on Tuesday afternoon to meet with Coach Schindler and Coach Sundin with the intentions of signing up. Go Cubs!
The Cubs started their section tournament this last week with a quarter-final win over the Eagles of Eden Valley-Watkins. The Eagles advanced into the quarterfinal match with a 33-21 victory over Browerville, but with the Eagles’ win came four forfeits. In the section tournament, if you forfeit a weight, you need to carry that forfeit all the way through the tournament. The Eagles came to wrestle a tough match, but the Cubs proved to be too much for them, and came away with a 48-29 victory to advance to the semi-finals Friday, Feb. 15, in Belgrade where they would face the host school.
