Upcoming programs at Annandale Library Aug. 15 & 19

 

Glow In the Dark Art Camp -  Aug. 15

Children ages 5 to 10 are invited to a Glow In The Dark Art Camp presented at the Annandale Public Library 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, Children will learn how to turn their room into a nighttime wonderland with luminescent glow-in-the-dark materials, and create cool and unique figures, paintings, and pictures that will glow for hours at a time, night after night. Attendance is limited and registration is required. The class will be taught by an Abrakadoodle instructor. It is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Sunshine Storytime - Aug. 19

Children ages 3 to 8 are invited to Sunshine Storytime at the Annandale Public Library 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19. Children will enjoy stories, songs and a fun craft. Attendance is limited and registration is required. This event is sponsored by the Annandale Friends of the Library.

Duct Tape and Art Reloaded – Aug. 13

Children ages 5 to 10 are invited to Duct Tape and Art Reloaded, a creative arts program at the Kimball Public Library 3:30 to
4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13. In this fun class, children will use duct tape to create a crazy creature pen. Attendance is limited and registration is required. The program will be presented by an Abrakadoodle instructor, and it is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Puppet theater performance – Aug. 18

The Kimball Public Library will welcome ZPuppets Rosenschnoz for a performance 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, The award-winning puppet theater performers will present “à la carte: In a Fool’s Kitchen” for families, teens and children 3 and older. The show features the battle between a French chef and a wily lobster. This performance is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.

Sunshine Storytime – Aug. 20

Children ages 3 to 8 are invited to Sunshine Storytime at the Kimball Public Library 10:30 to
11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20. Join storytime to experience stories, songs and a fun craft. The attendance limit is 24 and registration is required. This event is sponsored by the Kimball Friends of the Library.

Annandale Public Library offering programs

Sunshine Storytime – Aug. 5

Children ages 3 to 8 are invited to Sunshine Storytime at the Annandale Public Library
10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5. Attendance is limited and registration is required. This storytime is sponsored by the Annandale Friends of the Library.

Music In The Library – Aug. 6

Classical guitarist Jeff Bianchi will perform at the Annandale Public Library 3:30-4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6. People of all ages are invited to enjoy the beauty of the classical guitar. Bianchi began performing as a classical musician in his teens. From 2005 to 2007 he toured nationally as a guitar player with country music acts before returning to his roots as a classical musician. His 2014 concert schedule includes performances in Alabama, Mississippi, Wyoming and other states. He will play a variety of compositions including music from the 17th century as well as pieces for guitar by contemporary composers. This concert is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
