A HUGE thank you to the Kimball Schools for hosting the “Put a Lid on Cancer” fundraiser. Students and staff were allowed to wear a hat all day for a minimum donation of $1. We would also like to say thank you to all of the families for supporting this fundraiser. All of the money raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Thank you for your support and helping us celebrate more birthdays. Cancer doesn’t sleep, so neither do we.
The next Relay for Life of Meeker County event will be held Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Meeker County Fairgrounds in Litchfield. If you would like to make a donation, please go to www.relayfor
life.org, search for the Litchfield, Minn., event, and donate to The Barnyard Crew.
Again, thank you to the Kimball Schools, staff, students, and family for raising awareness and money to help those who have/had cancer. It means so much to us.

Kimball Elementary School was the recipient of many beautiful mittens, scarves, and hats from the “Mitten Tree,” made possible by donations from the Kimball Legion Auxiliary. Also included were other, much welcomed, clothing items for our students.
Many thanks for your generosity. You go above and beyond in your concern for our community children.
We wish to express our deepest gratitude to all of our relatives, friends and neighbors for flowers, food, cards of sympathy and memorials sent at the loss of our husband, and Dad, Ben Plantenberg. A special thank you to the EV Fire/Rescue, Paynesville Hospital, Koronis Manor Staff, Dr. Zimmerman, Fr. Jerome, Fr. Thielman, Dingman Funeral Home, Assumption Parish guild, Assumption guitar group, EV Legion Post 381, and the 40/8 Club of Hutchinson. It is a comfort to know that so many people share in our loss.
The Family of Ben Plantenberg
Thanks to my family, to Fr. Jerome, friends, doctors, and nurses for their help, visits, cards, and prayers while I was at the St. Cloud Hospital and Hilltop Care Center.
All was very much appreciated.
Thank you to Tri-County News and Images by Marguerite for doing pictures at Santa Day Saturday, Dec. 14. Thanks to Heritage House for the great cookies, Hendricks Bus for the hot chocolate treats, and Kimball Fire and Rescue for bringing Santa to City Hall and for the candy. Thanks to Heritage House residents for bagging up Santa’s treats.
Mostly, thanks Santa, for visiting our good little boys and girls.
