Thanks to students and sponsors for Christmas drawings

A big “thank you” to all the students who did drawings for last week’s Christmas greetings section. (There are a few in this week’s paper, too.) We hope you had fun doing them.

Thank you to the teachers and staff, also, at both the Kimball Elementary and Eden Valley-Watkins Elementary schools. Your help in getting us the drawings (and identifying who did them) is invaluable.

Thank you, too, to all our advertisers who sponsored the drawings and allowed us to share so many of them with you.

This is probably the most fun part of our job here at the Tri-County News. THANK YOU for making it possible!

Christmas Train thanks

A special thank you to everybody who attended the Holiday Train event Sunday evening. We have collected $4,500 dollars for our local food shelf and still have money coming in.

Kimball Fire and Rescue and Kimball Police, without all of your dedicated people, this would not have been possible.W-HolidayTrain 6157

To the committee Dean Mozena, Gene Gohmann, Tracy Nelson, and Sheryl Carlson, thanks for all your hard work.

The following businesses and organizations are responsible for making the evening a success:

Bicycles drawings – A.M. Maus & Son, Hendricks Bus

Hair and turkey raffle, cookies and popcorn, workers that volunteered – Kimball Lions

Cider – Kimball/Watkins Vet. Clinic

Hot chocolate/coffee – Hendricks Sand & Gravel, Inc.

Thanks to recital performers

The Eden Valley-Watkins Community Education Department put on a music recital Sunday, Dec. 8. There were many wonderful performers. Teachers, Kris Latcham and Bethanne Holthaus, would like to thank you all for the great performances and all your hard work this fall. Keep up the great playing and singing everyone.

Thanks to Kimball Schools

A HUGE thank you to the Kimball Schools for hosting the “Put a Lid on Cancer” fundraiser. Students and staff were allowed to wear a hat all day for a minimum donation of $1. We would also like to say thank you to all of the families for supporting this fundraiser. All of the money raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Thank you for your support and helping us celebrate more birthdays. Cancer doesn’t sleep, so neither do we.

The next Relay for Life of Meeker County event will be held Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Meeker County Fairgrounds in Litchfield. If you would like to make a donation, please go to www.relayfor
life.org
, search for the Litchfield, Minn., event, and donate to The Barnyard Crew.

Again, thank you to the Kimball Schools, staff, students, and family for raising awareness and money to help those who have/had cancer. It means so much to us.

The Barnyard Crew,

Relay for Life of Meeker County

Thanks to Kimball Legion Auxiliary

Kimball Elementary School was the recipient of many beautiful mittens, scarves, and hats from the “Mitten Tree,” made possible by donations from the Kimball Legion Auxiliary. Also included were other, much welcomed, clothing items for our students.

Many thanks for your generosity. You go above and beyond in your concern for our community children.
