The family of Loretta Brutger would like to extend a sincere thank you to those who offered kindness, messages of sympathy, donated food or flowers, and served the meal.
A special thank you to the following: Hilltop Health Care Center for their eight years of care and compassion for Loretta, to Rice Hospice, Ertl’s Funeral Home, Chickadee Tree Floral and Gifts, Stein’s Meat and Groceries, the Wat-Kim-Valley VFW Auxiliary Post# 5460, the Red Hat ladies, and the Senior Citizens for saying the Rosary.
Thank you Fr. Gross and
Fr. Brunner for your presence and prayers at the wake and mass, also Kathy Pauls for the music.
God Bless you all! The Family of Loretta Brutger
Todd Rohloff and his trusty Bobcat cleared the entire KAHS track of snow. It took a couple of days, but he chipped his way through the
hard-packed ice and snow that was nearly two feet thick. Having the track cleared allows the track team (and others) to use the track earlier than if they had to wait for Mother Nature to melt it all off. The entire track team and coaching staff is most grateful. Staff photo by Jean Doran Matua.
The Eden Valley-Watkins Post Prom Committee would like to thank everyone who purchased raffle tickets to help support our fund-raiser. The money we raised is used to hold an after-prom party that is safe and fun, free of drugs and alcohol. We provide entertainment, food, and prizes. It has been well received by the students, parents, and community at large!
First off, I want to thank the 1,249 people that came out to breakfast on Palm Sunday. Wow, is all I can say each year. We are so blessed to live in a community that shows so much support for their Fire and Rescue Department. The donations for our new rescue rig topped $5,000, with so far to date, 19 names have been added to the donor board. If anyone is still interested in donating a $100 or more, we will add your name to the list. All support is always greatly appreciated. This year will mark the 17th year Ed Borman (aka Captain Pancake) has been in charge of our annual Palm Sunday breakfast. It is sad to see Ed step down from this committee, he has done an exceptional job for the past 17 years. Ed wanted to step down before he retired from the department so that he could train in his replacement Mike Schneider. I am very confident Mike will fill the shoes very well. Again, a great big “Thank You” goes out to each and every one of you that supports our Fire Department each and every year!
The family of Joan Pauls would like to extend a sincere thank you to family and friends for all the acts of kindness shown to our family. A special thanks to
St. Croix Hospice for their support and dedicated service. Thanks to the staff at Richmond Medical Clinic; Dr. Heather Swanson and Nurse Becky, and the staff at Paynesville Hospital, for their care and compassionate spirit in caring for our mom.
Thanks to Fr. Tom, Fr. Dick and Fr. Paul for their presence and prayers at the wake and mass. Thanks to Kathy and Melanie Pauls, Tina Lieser, Nicki Holthaus, Julie Koenig and Gary Brinkman for the beautiful music at the Mass, to Tom Ertl for his caring service, and to St. Mary’s Circle for serving the great food. God bless you all.
