The American Legion Auxiliary will be distributing poppies for contributions to promote continued rehabilitaion efforts for veterans. Since that first auxiliary convention in 1921, the poppy program has flourished in the guiding hands and caring hearts of the American Legion Auxiliary. The small red paper flower still blooms and its message is still strong and clear, we remember your courage and sacrifice, you did not serve in vain.
Please watch for poppy promotions and displays and make a generous contribution to support our veterans. Wear your poppy in honor of the millions of Americans who have willingly served and who are currently serving our nation, all too many of whom have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could remain living in a free country under God. There is not a better way to say THANK YOU than to wear a poppy as a reminder that we will “always remember.”
