Marilyn Finger and Mary Lou Pivec (along with her grandson Koltyn) from St. Anne’s Catholic Church came up to Heritage House Friday, Nov. 22, and brought along turkey cut-out cookies to help the residents decorate them. They also picked the residents’ brains by doing a map in which they had to say the capital of each state. Everybody had a great time and we certainly do appreciate the ladies when they come to visit and thank them for the time they give to us. Submitted photo.

Since the Foundation began in January of 2008, more than $185,000 has been raised to sponsor an Endowment Chair with the University of Minnesota, Isaac’s HOPE Fund for Curing Childhood Cancer. Isaac’s Foundation has reached a level of support with the U of M where our research dollars have been distributed upon much needed programs overseen by our Medical Advisory Committee, Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist Drs. Joseph Neglia and Brenda Weigel.
Last year, the U of M made progress in many priority areas in pediatric cancer research and Isaac’s Foundation is a valued partner in this work. We’d like to highlight two areas in particular that the University of Minnesota has made significant strides.
