As we gather here today,

We reflect on why we’re here,

For because of these great heroes,

The reasons are quite clear.



Johnson participates in Honor Flight

Robert J. Johnson was but a lad of 21 or 22, working in a hardware store in Sleepy Eye, when he joined the Army. W-100 1007---CopyHe was whisked off to basic training in Camp White, near Medford, Oregon, and would spend more than three years in the Infantry.

Bob was a radio operator, a Tech. Sgt. with the 91st. During World War II, the 91st Division was in France and Italy. “We marched all the way up Italy,” Bob said recently. The Division was much decorated in their campaigns.

May 17: Springtime in Manannah

The Church of Our Lady CCW in Manannah present a brunch and sale from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, May 17.

For brunch there will be egg bake or apple Fench toast, fruit cup, rolls, and beverage.

There will be a bake sale, a craft and jewelry sale, as well as plants for sale.

In the plant sale will be bedding plants, perennials, bulbs, shrubs, etc.

Art exhibited in Sartell

Lou Tollefson (resident of Watkins) will debut a new painting series at The Change Hair Salon in Sartell. The opening reception is from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 9, and the show will be open to the public Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m., and Saturdays,
9 a.m.-3 p.m. until July. The exhibit will include more than 20 new paintings and the opening reception will also have her unique handmade jewelry.
