When it comes to sustainability and stability, a career in music isn’t the first thing that comes to mind for Eric and Leigh Gibson. But despite being from New York and geographically removed from the genre’s Appalachian roots, they have made a name for themselves in bluegrass music over the past two decades, playing more than 80 shows and festivals a year. They have gradually built a deeply dedicated, nationwide fan base with their spellbinding harmony singing, which can reach the high lonesome notes of Bill and Charlie Monroe, and capture the tenderness of pop/country crooners The Everly Brothers.
