Ancestry.com is one of the top genealogical websites. Its collections, databases, and tools provide helpful assistance in everyone’s genealogical research. This presentation will provide a tour of the site, the various subscriptions including the Library Edition (available in the Research Center at the Stearns History Museum), how to search the collections and how you can use sites like this to organize your research. Lori will also explain how Ancestry.com fits into the online genealogical community. There will be information for all levels of genealogical expertise. RSVP is required and space is limited.
About the Presenter: Lori Bessler has worked at the Wisconsin Historical Society Library Archives, one of the top five genealogical libraries in North America, since 1988. She is a Reference Librarian and Outreach Coordinator. Lori has lectured throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest on genealogical topics for more than 25 years and has been researching family history for more than 35 years.
