Happy 135th Birthday Cokato Bash


The Cokato Museum and Historical Society invites the public to an open house at the museum 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 17, to celebrate the 135th Birthday of Cokato.

This open house will debut the museum’s latest temporary display, Cokato Is Open for Business, a look at some of the many businesses that have called Cokato home over the last century-and-a third.

The Maine Prairie Cemetery Association will hold their annual meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday,
March 21, at Hendricks Bus Office.

Any interested parties are urged to attend.

Daffodil Days March 14-17

Hope arrives every spring with the blooming of daffodils. Every year, the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days program brings hope to people with cancer, and to their friends and families across the country.

Daffodil Days in Kimball are March 14-17 at the Kimball American Legion; and Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17, at St. Anne’s Church after services.

Wat-Kim-Valley VFW breakfast Mar. 17

The Wat-Kim-Valley VFW Post 5460 is planning a breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, March 17, at the Watkins Village Hall. The menu includes sausage, French toast, eggs, hash browns, juice and coffee. Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children 5-12, and 4 and under are free. There will be a bake sale, silent auction - Baskets of Hope, fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The team “The Fighting Chicks” are Doreen Unterberger, Sharon Skuza, and Judy Braegelmann. Donations are welcome! Visit www.RelayForLife.org. Celebrate, remember, fight back.
