Just recently all of us in the Eden Valley and Watkins area recieved a flyer from The Paynesville Press stating he would be starting a local newspaper.

Although this sounds like a good idea, we need to consider what the Tri-County News has done for us in the past few months. This newspaper has gone the extra mile to give us good local coverage. Jean has also been considerate of the Journal-Patriot owners even though she did not know the status of their business.

The Tri-County News is a very informative, well-written newspaper which, I believe, will continue to improve as time goes on.
