Gladys Spaulding of Kimball died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Heritage House of Kimball. She was 92.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Kimball United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Felska officiating. Burial will follow at the Maine Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. A prayer service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Gladys Marion Spaulding was born April 8, 1920, to George and Edna (Guptill) Lawler in Kimball. She married Milton Spaulding June 11, 1940, in St. Cloud. Gladys worked at Fingerhut for more than 20 years, and she was a member of the Kimball United Methodist Church. Gladys enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting, and working. Her greatest accomplishment and joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband Milton; grandchildren Kelly Lynn Spaulding and Kendra Lisa Spaulding; brothers Justin and Ambrose Lawler; and sisters Rose Ann Lawler and Alvina Schefers.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Luvern (and Joyce) of Shawnee, Kan., Neal (and Mary) of Kimball, Joanne (and Robert) O'Leary of Plymouth, Norgean (and Robert) Fitch of Plymouth, Shari (and Paul) Sebastian of Falcon Heights, and Janet (and Douglas) Randall of Fair Haven; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
