First CMC match, Sept. 6, v. BBE

The Cubs hosted their first CMC match of the 2012 season against the Jaguars of Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Thursday, Sept. 6. The Cubs knew it would be a tough match as the Jaguars have a strong program. In set 1, we began tentatively and struggled with our passing. However, we looked to be a good hitting team against B-B-E. They jumped to an early lead of 10-2 and that's when the Cubs decided it was time to show them what we could do. We came back to be within 5 points of overtaking the Jags but lost 20-15. The next set started with the Cubs getting an early lead at 3-0 only to let the Jaguars back into it and then it went back and forth by a point or two until B-B-E took the lead at 15-11 with the Cubs not being able to recover due to serving and passing errors.

Our next matches are Monday, Sept. 10, at Foley, and Thursday, Sept. 13, at Rockford.
