Patricia "Pat" Hartkopf of Becker died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was 71.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Sept. 7, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins with Rev. John Brunner officiating. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, and from 9-10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins. Parish rosary will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at the funeral home followed by parish prayers at 6 p.m.
Pat was born March 19, 1941, in Watkins to Gregory and Loretta (Wortz) Ertl. She married Larry "Chief" Hartkopf June 26, 1965, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. She attended the Minnesota School of Business in St. Cloud, and was employed as an administrative assistant at St. Cloud State University for 40 years, retiring in 2000. Her hobbies included knitting and cross stiching, and she donated countless items that she made to the Coborn Cancer Center, New Beginnings, and the Anna Marie House. She enjoyed bus trips to the casino and watching sports, especially the Twins and Vikings. Pat also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brother-in-law Linda (and Kerry) Kerstein, and Joanne Schramel.
She is survived by her husband Larry Hartkopf of Becker, sons and daughters-in-law Chuck (and Robin) Hartkopf of North Branch, Todd (and Cyndi) Hartkopf of Becker; grandchildren Alysha, Alejandra, Marco and Samson Hartkopf; great-grandson Jordan Hartkopf; sister and brothers-in-law Carol (and Jim) Lennox of Kimball, and Martin Schramel of Eden Valley.
