Shawn Laudenbach died at his South Haven home Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, with his family by his side, after a brave four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer (adrenocortical carcinoma). He was 12.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Clearwater with Rev. Steven Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday before the service, at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Shawn D. Laudenbach was born May 13, 2000, in St. Cloud to Jeffrey and Judith (Helget) Laudenbach. He was a graduate of Kimball Elementary School. Shawn enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and playing and watching sports. He loved the time he was able to spend with his family and friends. He was a member of of St. Luke's Catholic Church.
Shawn is survived by his parents, and sister and brother Stephanie and Scott of South Haven; grandparents Tom and Beatrice "Beaty" Laudenbach of St. Augusta, and Leonard "Butch" and Joan Helget of Clearwater; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special "thank you" to all those who have given their love, care and support to Shawn and his family during this difficult time.
Arrangements were by Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
