Florentine Fladung of Tyler, Minn., died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at the Tyler Health Care Center. She was 92.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 12, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Rogers. Private burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Florentine A. Fladung was born to William and Anna (Lenzen) Gohman Sept. 21, 1919, in St. Augusta. Oct. 31, 1944, she was united in marriage to Edward Fladung at the Army Post Chapel in Nashville, Tenn.
Over her lifetime, Florentine worked many jobs in Minnesota and Oregon. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, reading, gardening, bird watching and traveling. She had a deep love and compassion for all children and was devoted to her faith and to the rosary.
Florentine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward July 22, 1991; brothers Peter, Herman, Math, Willard, and Edwin Gohman; sisters Elizabeth Bennett, Catherine Hinkemeyer, and Bernadine Malikowski.
She is survived by her six children and their spouses Dick (and Janice) Fladung of Prineville, Ore., Don (and Deb) Fladung of Louisville, Ky., Beth (and Michael) Locatell of Seattle, Wash., Bob (and Jane) Fladung of St. Michael, Joyce (and Caroll) Friedricks of Tyler, Minn., and Bill Fladung of Prineville, Ore.; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
