Donald Ruprecht died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. He was 85.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at St. Boniface Catholic Church at 501 Main Street in Cold Spring. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday, at the Wenner Funeral Home, 600 Red River Ave. S. in Cold Spring with parish prayers at 4 p.m., followed by a rosary with Kimball Knights of Columbus and Catholic United Financial. Visitation will continue from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Boniface Narthex. Entombment will be in the St. Anne's Parish Cemetery in Kimball.
Donald M. Ruprecht was born in Eden Valley to Paul and Rose (Schmit) Ruprecht. He married Rosina Stommes June 2, 1949, in Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Don farmed in Watkins until his retirement. He loved gardening, fishing, and playing cards. He was a member of Catholic United Financial, Kimball Knights of Columbus, and Rocori Senior Center.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Lawrence, Arthur, Roman, and Paul, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Rosina; children Alan (and Mary Pat), Sue, Kevin (and Nancy), Charles, Dennis (and Kim), Margaret (and Bob) Pearson, Sharon Rose, and Kimberly (and Josh) Hanan; 14 grandchildren; one step-grandson; and eight great-grandchildren.
