The Paynesville Area Health Care System Board of Directors has named Ms. Bobbe Teigen as the system's CEO. Teigen assumed her new role March 23. Teigen comes to Paynesville Area Health Care System (PAHCS) with more than 20 years of experience in health care and will be responsible for all organizational operations. She will serve as the principal link between the health care system, the community, the board of directors, and the medical staff. Teigen earned her bachelor's degree from Dickinson State University in education and a master's degree in health-care administration from Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee. She began her career in teaching business education for nine years before being appointed as the assistant administrator of St. Lukes Tri-State Hospital in Bowman, N.D. in 1988. She was then hired as CEO for the Osceola Medical Center in Osceola, Wis., where she served from 1990-1995. From 1995-2004, Bobbe served as the CEO of the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital and Clinics in Prairie du Sac, Wis., managing a 36-bed hospital, five clinics and 450 employees. From 2004-2008, she worked for Aurora Health Care as the Chief Administrative Officer for both the Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, and Plymouth Ambulatory Surgery Center. Teigen is a progressive, collaborative leader committed to patient quality and service with strong business skills and a deep commitment to the mission of Paynesville Area Health Care System. "I'm just thrilled," said Bobbe. "I think my heart is in a rural setting," she said of the move to Paynesville, which she will make with her husband Ross. A strong believer in community service, Teigen has served on boards in various civic and professional organizations and she now looks forward to being involved in the communities that the Paynesville hospital district serves.
