Stearns County 4-H Centennial reunion

Alumni and families of Stearns County 4-H Clubs are invited to celebrate the centennial of the 4-H program at a special reception in their honor on Saturday, July 27, at the Stearns County Fair 4-H Building. The event is sponsored by the Stearns County Junior Leader Service Club, which hopes to reunite present and former members and their families. The event will include a reception from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the 4-H building, and it will feature exhibits and displays from the past 100 years of 4-H. Also, current 4-H volunteers will be recognized for their contributions with a special award. 4-H continues to be a growing organization, involving entire families in both rural and urban areas. Since its founding, there have been 4-H clubs in each city and township of Stearns County. Today, over a thousand youth in Stearns County are involved in some type of 4-H program, including performing arts, camping and outdoor recreation, natural sciences, technology, home economics, health & safety events, and leadership programs. The Junior Leader Service Club asks everyone to "pass the word" about our Centennial Reunion Party to families in every corner of Stearns County whose lives have been touched by 4-H.
