EF Tours, will coordinate with Ridgewater’s Spring Break, which is March 11-15. Exact dates will be available after the first of the year. Explore the history of World War II and the Cold War with visits to Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Berlin introduces you to Checkpoint Charlie and the Reichstag, while Warsaw and Krakow provide a somber look into the Jewish Ghetto and Auschwitz. End in Prague, a culturally diverse city known for its role in the Velvet Revolution and its stunning landmarks like Prague Castle. The cost of the trip includes round-trip airfare, all ground transportation (train and bus) in Europe, all hotels, a light breakfast every morning, four or five evening meals, tour guides, and entrance to all historic sites. Travel days include scheduled tours as well as some free time for exploration on your own. This trip provides an opportunity to see world-famous sites, to meet other travelers, to experience different cultures, to learn about history and yourself. The tour offers a great value: a fully-planned travel experience that lets you focus on the sites while others make the arrangements. A companion literature class, the International Study of Literature: The Holocaust, will be offered on both campuses in the spring. However, it is not required to take the course to go on the trip. For more information, call Kathy Steffen on the Hutchinson campus (320) 234-8554, Ruth Fairchild on the Willmar campus (320) 222-7520, or visit the tour website: http://www.efcollegestudytours.com/1264681.
