Kimball School Board: KAHS basketball star returns a coach

After 36 years and 1,213 games, the board accepted the resignation of Gary Riess as head softball and girls’ basketball coach, effective this school year.

Rohloff Bobcat Service was awarded the bid for snow removal for the district for the 2012-13 school year.

Melanie Marquardt was added as 9th-grade girls’ basketball coach; Joe Stangle was moved to assistant/JV girls’ basketball coach; and Robin Dockery and Carelyn Hillstrom were named co-assistant speech coaches.

Spring coaching assignments include: Baseball, Adam Beyer head coach, Matt Dingmann asst. coach, Corey Harmon 8th, (vacant) 7th; Softball, (vacant) head coach, Eric Primus asst., Joe Stangle 8th, Barry Strand 7th; Girls’ golf Kris O’Brien head, Bob Deem jr. high; Track Chris Rossman asst., Lisa Brown asst., Aimey Notsch jr. high.

The next board meeting is Wednesday, Dec. 19, and will include a Truth in Taxation hearing.
