Dale Kleist of Arlington died Tuesday, Dec. 11, in Glencoe. He was 64.Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington with Rev. William Postel officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the service at noon. Burial will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery.

Dale D. Kleist was born Jan. 15, 1948, to Albert and Verna (Kamps) Kleist in Arlington. He grew up in the Arlington area, graduating from Arlington-Green Isle High School in 1965. He married Linda Sue Hankins May 20, 1967 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode, Iowa. The couple lived in Richfield for a short time before moving to Arlington in 1968. They operated and owned a grocery store in Arlington from 1969 to 1995. After the store was sold, Dale worked for Coremark Co., in Business Development until his retirement in 2010. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; wife Linda; infant daughter; siblings Lyle (and Mary) Kleist, Kenneth Kleist; and nephew Bruce Kleist. He is survived by his children Kelli (and Charles) Woehler of Belgrade, Kirk (and Brean) Kleist of Richmond; grandchildren Whitney, Cole, and Bailey Woehler, Kennedy and Makullen Kleist; brother Glen (and Geraldine) Kleist of Richfield; and sister-in-law Mavis Kleist. Casket bearers are Douglas Kleist, Kevin Kleist, James Kleist, Barry Kleist, Steven Kleist, and David Kleist. Arrangements were by Kolden Funeral Service.
