EV-W High School Winter Vocal Concert:

The concert was held at
St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins Monday, Dec. 10, under the direction of Kathy Pauls.


This concert presented vocal pieces from as early as 1400 to 2010, presented with many students doing solo work. The Concert Choir did “Laudemus Virginem” from the year 1400, followed by “Anima Mea” of 1500.

Heidi Geislinger, talented soloist, did “Still a Bach Christmas” followed by Vanessa Aho singing “O, Holy Night” from 1800.

Carter Geislinger  sang “Angels We Have Heard on High” from 1862.

Seventh- and eighth-grade boys sang “Kum Ba Yah” of 1930, the seventh- and eighth-grade girls sang American Folk Music “At the Foot of Yonder Mountain,” “Charlottown,” Native American traditional “Shoshone Love Song” from before 1800, the historical “I Saw Three Ships”, and “Shut de Do” from 1980.

Jasmine Miller and Julia Stotz sang “Believe” from 2004.

Rachel Stommes presented “Here With Us” from 2010, and the Concert Choir sang “This Little Babe” from 1942, and “Hitzahn” (A Child is Born to Us). Soloist was Madi Field.

From 1982 was “He Never Failed Me Yet” with soloists Kirby Knutson and Jasmine Miller.

The concert concluded with a sing-a-long “Ho! Ho! Holidays!”
