Kimball Elementary students last week brought in their pennies for the annual “Pie In The Eye” competition. Four staff members were selected (or volunteered?) to have collection boxes set out all week; the one with the most money in his or her box would receive a whipped-cream pie, in the eye, at a student assembly Friday, Dec. 7. Students raised just shy of $200 for the Tri-County Humane Society, and there was a tie for “winner” between principal Jim Houseman (left) and Danielle Brower (right). (Danielle was laughing so hard at the principal getting the pie instead of her, she never saw it coming, and got most of it in her mouth. Kimball BLT sponsored the event and delivered the pies.
