The City of Eden Valley held a community party in its new Event Center/Library on main street. The talented Kingery Family Singers presented a concert of beautiful Holiday music, much of it bluegrass and folk style. The concert, cookies and cocoa (and a few other edibles) preceded arrival of the train.

The train arrived, a stage lowered from the side of one of the cars, and the Claytones and Tracey Brown provided about a half-hour musical extravaganza to the crowd gathered at the tracks on State Street. At left, a check for the Eden Valley Food Shelf was presented to mayor Pete Korman by Canadian Pacific Railroad and its employees. Fortunately, it wasn’t nearly as cold as it’s been in years past. The little kids especially enjoyed the show.
