Wright County Sheriff’s Office

Dec. 17, Andrew William Plamann, 23 of Clearwater, was arrested in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for domestic assault.

Dec. 17, John Edward Hedberg, 31 of Annandale, was arrested in Buffalo on the charge of violation of a domestic abuse no contact order.

Dec. 18, Cody Lee Richard Duane Hawes, 21 of Cokato, was arrested in Monticello on the charges of theft, flee police on foot, possession of shoplifting tools and Wright County warrants for burglary, fraud and fifth-degree controlled substance violation.

Dec. 18, Ronald Ray Brottem, 25 of Kingston, was arrested in Cokato on the charge of false information to police.

Dec. 24, Jody Lynn Twerefour, 52 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on the charge of disorderly conduct.

Dec. 27, Megan Marie Peirce, 29 of Maple Lake, was arrested in Maple Lake on the charges of domestic assault and fifth-degree assault.

There were 11 car-deer accidents between Dec. 17-23. There were 2 arrests for DWI, 2 underage-consumption arrests, 1 school bus stop-arm violation, and 33 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.

Sunday, December 30

1:40 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle rollover on MN Highway 22, Ellsworth Township. There was nobody in the vehicle. The call was transferred to the MN State Patrol.

11:05 a.m. a Meeker County deputy came across a stranded motorist on MN Highway 55, Forest Prairie Township.  The deputy stood by for safety purposes as the motorist changed a tire.

1:56 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at the Hilltop Care Center, Watkins.  One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

Saturday, December 29

10:12 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Carnelian Road, Stearns County.  One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

7:49 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of harassment at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. The deputy advised the individual of their options.

11:22 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office located a stalled vehicle on MN Highway 55, Manannah Township. The deputy found everything to be okay with the vehicle and the driver would be on his way shortly.

Friday, December 28

On the 28th at 8:13 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a burglary at Bach Farms, US Highway 12, Acton Township.

10:09 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at Powder Ridge Ski Hill, Kimball.  One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

12:45 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at Powder Ridge Ski Hill, Kimball.  One individual was transported to the St. Cloud hospital.

3:03 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at the Eden Valley Area Medical Clinic, Eden Valley.  One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

5:19 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a car/deer accident on 675th Avenue, Forest City Township.  Upon arrival of the deputy a deer possession tag was issued to the driver.

5:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a car/deer accident on MN Highway 55 in the area of County State Aid Highway 30, Manannah Township. The call was transferred to the MN State Patrol. There were no injuries reported.

6:59 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a verbal domestic at a residence on 587th Avenue, Manannah Township. The deputy mediated the situation for the evening.

8:24 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Brooks Street South, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital. A deputy also assisted the Eden Valley Police Department at the scene.

Thursday, December 27

2:00 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Fire Department to a fire alarm at the Eden Valley Watkins Jr/Sr High School. It was found to be a false alarm and Eden Valley Fire was canceled.

6:52 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office advised an individual of their options in regards to a civil matter near a residence on 653rd Avenue, Forest Prairie Township.

7:04 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office advised an individual of their options on a custody matter at a residence on Meeker Avenue North, Watkins.

Wednesday, December 26

12:20 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at Mike’s Bait and Tackle, Meeker Avenue East, Eden Valley.  All was found to be okay on arrival and it was a false alarm.

11:43 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from an address on Meeker Stearns Street, Manannah Township.

8:35 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on 93rd Avenue, Maine Prairie Township,
Stearns County.  One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

Tuesday, December 25

6:44 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stalled vehicle in the area of 375th Street and 657th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township. The vehicle was gone upon the arrival of the deputy.

4:48 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance for Stearns County, to a residence on Hazel Avenue East, Kimball, for a possible suicidal female. Watkins Ambulance was canceled a short time later.

Monday, December 24

1:00 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to the Valley Inn Bar in Eden Valley, for a welfare check. The deputy found that there was nobody at the bar.

3:52 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched the Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Western Ave. N. in Watkins. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.




Sunday, December 23

6:40 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on County State Aid Highway 24 West of MN Highway 15, Dassel Township. The deputy checked the driver and all was okay and a tow was called.

12:33 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a lost ten point cross bow in a soft camo case with a scope and arrows in the area of MN Hwy. 55 and CSAH 2, Watkins.

Saturday, December 22

2:25 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue Squad and Watkins Ambulance for a medical at a residence on Rails Avenue West, City of Eden Valley. One individual was transported to the Paynesville Hospital.

9:22 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a two-vehicle accident on 367th Street, North Kingston. No injuries were reported.

10:56 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of harassment at a residence on 1st Street, Watkins. The deputy spoke to the individuals and advised them of their options.

Friday, December 21

8:07 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an injured deer near the intersection of MN Highway 15 and County State Aid Highway 24, Dassel Township. The information was passed on to the MN State Patrol.

11:43 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity at a residence on 4th St. N., Watkins.

6:00 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on 675th Avenue, Forest City Township.

7:48 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance for a medical at Bud’s Bar, Central Avenue North, City of Watkins. One individual was treated at the scene.

9:08 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a northbound driving complaint on MN Highway 24 and 305th Street, Forest City Township. The deputy checked the area and found the vehicle had left prior to arrival and the information was forwarded on to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and Kimball Police Department.

Thursday, December 20

4:12 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Luella Street, Watkins.  One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

4:16 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft at a residence on 362nd Street, Forest Prairie Township.

7:36 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of possible threats at the ACGC Jr Sr High School in Grove City.

Wednesday, December 19

12:46 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a driving complaint southbound on MN Highway 15 near 300th St., Kingston Township. The deputy located the vehicle and the driver appeared to be lost and confused. The vehicle was parked, secured and the driver was transported to his residence in Litchfield to the care of a relative and a driver evaluation was ordered.

4:24 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of horses on the road on MN Highway 15 near County State Aid Highway 18. The deputy located the owner and the horses were rounded up.

8:20 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a burglary at a residence on Asta Avenue West in Grove City.

2:14 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a check the welfare at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. A deputy checked the residence and found everything to be okay.

3:13 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to unsafe conditions at Centra-Sota in Watkins. Upon the deputy’s arrival the employee on scene advised they were bleeding the anhydrous tanks and would stop for the day.

4:08 p.m. Jacob Salo, age 34, of Watkins, turned himself in to the Meeker County Jail on a Meeker Co. warrant.

9:00 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Litchfield Fire Department to a report of a suspicious fire at a property on 640th Avenue, Ellsworth Township.  An old farm trailer was found to be burning.  The owner, Andrew Smith, 32, of Darwin, had been cutting metal earlier on the trailer and embers later caught the other material on the trailer, including tires, on fire.  The fire department extinguished the fire and the loss was estimated at approximately $150. 

Tuesday, December 18

3:07 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched the Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Co. Rd. 147 in Maine Prairie Township,
Stearns County. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.


6:47 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance and Eden Valley Rescue for a medical at an address on State Street North, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to the Paynesville Hospital. 

7:41 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a dog complaint at an address on 637th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township. The deputy transported an adult male black lab to the pound.

9:56 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to, dispatched Watkins Ambulance and Eden Valley Rescue for a medical at an address on
CSAH 30, Manannah Township. The ambulance was cancelled and one individual was transported to Paynesville Hospital in a private vehicle.


11:10 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on County State Aid Highway 19 near 730th Avenue, Kingston Township. The deputy determined the vehicle was not a hazard and the owner had made arrangements to have the vehicle removed in the morning.

Monday, December 17

12:08 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance, per the request of Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, for a medical at a residence on Spruce Avenue West, City of Kimball. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital.

8:22 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic at a residence on County State Aid Highway 21, Kingston Township. One juvenile male was transported to Prairie Lakes Detention Center, Willmar.

8:24 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Luella Street, Watkins. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital.

2:34 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of suspicious activity at the Eden Valley Watkins Jr Sr High School on Brooks Street North, Eden Valley.

3:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office located a vehicle off the roadway in the area of County State Aid Highway 2 and 657th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township. The deputy assisted on the scene while the vehicle was removed from the ditch.

5:47 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a cellular 9-1-1 call reporting a car/deer accident on MN Highway 22 and Vails Lake Road, Stearns County. The caller was transferred to the
Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.


6:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a cellular 9-1-1 hang up call from an area northeast of 58680
CSAH 36, Eden Valley. Upon call back it was determined the call was for a car/deer accident without injuries north of Eden Valley on MN Highway 22. The caller was given the number for the Stearns County Sheriff’s office.


9:06 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a cellular 9-1-1 call reporting a car/deer accident without injuries on MN Highway 22 north of Eden Valley. The caller was transferred to the
Stearns County Sheriff’s office.
