January is National Blood Donor Month. Each January, the American Red Cross takes time to recognize the total contributions that you, and loyal blood donors make to help save lives throughout the year. Without you, hospital patients would not have the lifesaving blood they need.
Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. And yet, only about 8 percent of the eligible population makes the time to donate. Thank you for your efforts and support of the Red Cross. Each donor helps make many life-saving medical treatments and procedures involving transfusions possible.
