Larry Nystrom of Kimball died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at his home in Kimball. He was 54.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball with Fr. Ken Riedemann as the Celebrant. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday, at the church. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Larry Gerard Nystrom was born Oct. 10, 1958, in St. Cloud to Manley and Delores (Kunkel) Nystrom. He graduated from Kimball Area High School with the class of 1977. Larry worked the family farm prior to becoming a union boilermaker for Boilermakers Local 647 for the past 18 years. Larry enjoyed gardening, hunting, farming, raising chickens and pigs, playing solitaire and cribbage, and spending time with his grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his father Manley; and brother Donald. He is survived by his four children Jacob (and Kristine) of West Fargo, N.D., Jennifer (and Erik) Ludlow of Horace, N.D., Lucas (and Glynis) of Moorhead, and Lindsey of Kimball; seven grandchildren Morgan, Hunter, Hailey, Maria, Alex, Faye, and Carmen; mother Dolores Nystrom of Kimball; sisters and brothers Betty Ann Nystrom (and Bruce Mancini), Joan Nystrom (and Jeff Johnson), Patty (and Terry) Nelson, Kristie (and Jim) Orn, and Chuck Nystrom, all of Kimball; sister-in-law Brenda Nystrom (and Greg) Mass of Clearwater; and many nieces, nephews and many other relatives, including his boilermaker brothers. Pallbearers for the service will be Dick Solander, Dean Ek, Dale Nephew, Jordan Mancini, Josh Orn, Chris Schultz, Marshall Nystrom, and Ray Peck. Honorary pallbearers will be James Mancini, Dustin Mancini, Kody Orn, Aaron Schmidt, Eric Nystrom, Mitch Nystrom, Phill Scheneker, Scott Nystrom, and Allan Mancini. The Central MN Tec Program will provide the music for the service.
