Serbus 55th

Donald and Eileen (Asfeld) Serbus of Kimball will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary. They were married April 11, 1959, in St. Anthony’s Catholic W-SerbusEileenDonChurch of Watkins with Father  Edward Clemens officiating.

They are the parents of three children: Terry (and Lori) Serbus of Watkins, Pam (and Mark) Brutger of Watkins, and Tina (and Glen) Gunn of Palisade. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.W-Serbus-Wedding-Photo-scan0009

Pusc 60th

Don and Claire Pusc of Annandale (formerly of Kimball) were married Jan. 9, 1954, at St. James Catholic Church in Big Falls, Minn. They will spend their day in a quiet celebration reflecting on their 60 years together and the many blessings given to W-Claire--Don-Pusc-60th-Anniversary-285them. Father Tom Olson of St. Anne’s Parish will share in their day by blessing their marriage of 60 years.

Sietsema 70th

It’s a celebration of 70 years of marriage for Harold and Marilyn Sietsema. If you would like to be a part of this celebration, please join them on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014,W-Harold--MarilynSietsema293at the Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. Cake and ice cream, coffee and punch will be served starting at 2:45 p.m.

Harold and Marilyn (Hamilton) Sietsema were married Jan. 8, 1944, in the parsonage of the Methodist Church in Milford, Iowa. No big wedding, no bridesmaids, no groomsmen, just the minister and two close friends as witnesses. Harold’s father was very ill at the time, and Marilyn’s parents did not approve of their decision to marry – sure that it was a mistake. But 70 years have definitely proven that to not be true.
