Sandy Holthaus was the site coordinator of Fare For All in Annandale for many years, but was no longer able to continue. Fare For All closed in September 2012. After much thought, Pam and Charlie Lamb decided they needed to bring Fare For All back in the Annandale community.
The next Fare For All food distribution will be from 9:30 to
11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at Annandale City Hall. Volunteers may help from 9 a.m. to noon. Fare For All is a monthly program that provides groceries to anyone for a reduced price. Order must be received by the preceding Friday before the distribution.
Fare For All is held on Saturday each month at Annandale City Hall from 9:30 to 11 a.m. May 25,
June 22, July 27, Aug. 24, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, and Dec. 14.

The North Star Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club is holding its 12th Annual Studebaker Day at Pioneer Park. You will be able to view these fine classic cars from
1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18. You’re invited to come out and see these vintage vehicles that were labeled in their day as “ahead of their time.”
You will see Studebakers from pre-war through the mid 60’s. The Studebaker Company was first incorporated in 1852 in South Bend, Ind., and in time became the largest wagon manufacturer in the world. In 1902, they began selling electric runabouts and trucks. Interesting isn’t it, we make a big issue today of electric cars;
1904 was their first year to sell gasoline powered vehicles, which they continued to sell globally until December of 1966. The South Bend production plant closed in 1964, and automobile production continued in Hamilton, Ont., Canada, until 1966.
Wild edible plants will be the focus of a program at Lake Maria State Park beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the park’s nature center. Registration is required by calling the park at (763) 878-2325.
Dr. Steve Saupe, professor and botanist at St. John’s University and the College of St. Benedict, will be the featured speaker, covering such topics as identification and collection of wild edible plants, preparation of edible plants for consumption and preservation and restoration of habitat. His presentation will be followed by a short hike.
Minnesota Dance Ensemble will hold auditions for their 2013-2014 season at 12-3 p.m., May 19, and Aug. 11, at the Paramount Theatre, 913 W. St. Germain Street, St. Cloud, MN 56301.
Open to dancers ages 18+, the Central Minnesota non-profit’s mission is to provide opportunities for dancers in the disciplines of performance, education and advancement within the arts. The company is predominantly modern and jazz based, however dancers trained in various styles are welcome and encouraged to audition. Dancers are asked to prepare a two-minute solo, as well as a dance résumé that includes training and performance experience. Those auditioning will also learn a phrase of choreography and interview with the directors.
Questions can be directed to Executive Director Kerri Golom-becki at Director@MinnesotaDance<br< a="">> Ensemble, or (320) 493-8840.
This organization is funded, in part, by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
