Come one, come all, to the EV-W Spring ExtravaBANDza at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, in the old high school gym. Come hear the fifth- and sixth-grade bands perform their concert pieces. Be amazed by the Junior Band as they play their selections, and tap your toes along with the Jazz Ensemble and Senior Band. Then enjoy “Attack of the Slide Trombones” as it is performed by every EV-W band student in a Mass-Band selection at the end of the concert. A good time will be had by all!
Girl Scouts hold year-end awards

Eden Valley-Watkins Girl Scouts will be holding their annual year-end award ceremonies starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Eden Valley Event Center. Area residents are invited to join us as we recognize our Scouts for their achievements of this past year.
All currently registered Girl Scouts and their families are encouraged to attend.

Fresh from the Minnesota FFA Convention last week, the Eden Valley-Watkins FFA held their annual banquet Sunday, May 5, in the new Eden 
Valley Event Center (and Library).
The 2012-2013 Chapter officer team consists of Anne Gathje, president; Dillon Blonigen, vice president; James Gathje, secretary; Erica McCann, treasurer; Bobby Kipf, reporter; and Lyle Miller, sentinel.
EV-W Choral Department Concert May 13

The EV-W Choral Department will perform their Spring Concert “See the World Through Childrens Eyes” on Monday, May 13.
The concert will be held at the Assumption Church in Eden Valley, starting at 7:30 p.m. The seventh- and eighth-grade choir and 9-12 Concert Choir will perform music that expresses the hopes, fears and dreams of our youth; with a little Disney thrown in just for fun! Everyone is invited.
Third Annual 5K event May 15

The Third Annual 5K Walk – Run or Fly Event for the Eden Valley-Watkins High School students and staff will be held on Wednesday, May 15, starting at 1 p.m.
The route starts at the Eden Valley Elementary School at 901 Stearns Ave. E., then heads East (left) to County Road 9 turns left onto County Road 9 (North) then left onto Vails Lake Road (West) to MN Highway 22, where it turns left onto MN Hwy 22 (South) ending at the Assumption Catholic Church Parking lot at 464 State Street North in Eden Valley. Please use caution when traveling the event route until 3 p.m.
