To celebrate American Education Week, Eden Valley-Watkins Elementary Schools held special breakfasts with students and their parents: Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad. Above, kindergartners at Watkins Elementary enjoyed muffins (and yogurt, milk, juice, and a cheese stick) with their moms and a couple of grandmoms. The breakfasts were held at the schools on designated days, before school started. Staff photo by Jean Doran Matua.

The Media Center staff would like to thank everyone for coming to our Scholastic Book Fair. We are grateful for the support of our community. Thanks to you, we were able to earn more than $500 in books for our library.
The enthusiasm generated by the fair has been contagious. Students help set up displays, make sure the fair runs smoothly and, best of all, choose the new books. We appreciate the pride and ownership they take in the media center. You will be glad to know that reading a good book has not gone out of style at EV-W.
